Florida's Gulfarium

Florida's Gulfarium was started by a gentleman who had a dream.  That man is Brandy Siebenaler.  His dream was to learn as much as possible about marine life and then teach as many people as he could.  The reality of his dream began when Florida's Gulfarium opened on August 15, 1955, with a staff of about twenty trained individuals

Florida’s Gulfarium continues to call the Emerald Coast its home. Located on several acres of gulf front property, It is the oldest continuously operated marine show aquarium in  the entire world!

Since its earliest days in the 1950's, education has always been a part of Gulfarium's mission. In 1994, founder Brandy Siebenaler expanded the educational reach of the aquarium by authorizing the creation of the Education Department. Their first splash into education was summer camp. The camp has slowly grown and gotten better over the years, and so has the Education Department. Current programs include camps, marine science classes, public/home school science programs, lectures, seminars, professional development, and special events.
